Project Manager Opportunity

Following a successful year the West Midlands Regional Business unit is looking for an experienced Project Manger to join the team. The core projects are schools and colleges, however experience in our other successful and growing sectors of health, MOD and residential is also desired.

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the delivery of projects within the West Midlands Region. As project lead they will demonstrate and ensure successful delivery and implantation of the management of the project which will include Stake holder engagement, Management of Health, Safety and Environment, Quality, Programme and Commercial Management

Job Role
  • Maintain excellent and effective working relationships with our customers.
  • Implement the Tilbury Douglas Construction's Strategy, Policies and Business Management Systems.
  • Demonstrate by example our company values and culture.
  • Ensuring the project works comply with the contractual requirements and maintain appropriate records to ensure compliance.
  •  Chairing project and site meetings.
  • Ensuring the design and works are implemented in accordance with the Business's Quality Control Procedures.
  • Ensure the BSA requirements are managed effectively
  • Establish and maintain the sites high Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
  • Manage the projects programme and budget.
  • Proactive management and resolution of site and project issues.
  • Implementation of ongoing continuous improvement of regional and business unit initiatives.
  • Motivate, monitor, mentor and counsel members of the project team in their personal development.
  • Maintain and establish relationships with the supply chain.
  • Proactive management of the mature supply chain.
  • Any other duties relevant to the role.

  • ability to plan and organise resources to deliver project timeframes
  • Excellent Planning and programming experience and
  • be competent in the use of Asta Power Projects is desirable
  • IT literate and comfortable in the use of the Microsoft suit
  • Minimum HNC Qualified, ideally Degree Qualified (in relevant construction subject)
  • Professionally Qualified is desirable
  • CITB level 3 safety course certification is desirable
  • CSCS card
